Magic and Mud is a week-long, in person, immersive experience where natural building meets personal well-being. We'll rediscover the joy of working with earth, engaging in playful, hands-on activities that foster creativity and healing. Alongside this, we will experience diverse wellness practices, encompassing movement, lifestyle, music, and the restorative power of nature. If you are ready to explore natural building and experience what’s possible when we play with mud, this gathering is for you.

Crestone is known for the vast array of healing modalities that are offered here. We will experience a selection of healing arts offered by skilled practitioners in movement, meditation, song and other modalities. We will also be guided by experts in making our own body care products and fermented foods to support our physical bodies.

This course includes 7 nights of camping with lodging upgrades available for an additional cost. We provide three nourishing meals a day as well as all materials needed and a day at the local hot springs.

Experience the joy of working with nature as we explore different modes of building with adobe. Adobe is an ancient building material that is made by combining locally sourced dirt, augmented with straw, clay, sand and water. We will play with different ratios and experience the possibilities of using this material in natural construction.

Each day will include dedicated time for instruction and building, movement exploration, body nourishment, personal reflection and community connection.
